Norris, SC

Norris got its start in the late 1800s along the Twelve Mile River, growing alongside the railroad that served the nearby Cateechee cotton mill. As mill work and rail traffic picked up, homes and local storefronts settled in along the tracks, forming the community that was later named for Colonel Daniel Keating Norris. You can still see those historic roots in the town's quiet, residential layout today.

These days, Norris offers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere with convenient access to the rest of the Upstate. Residents enjoy an easy drive to neighboring Easley, Clemson, and downtown Greenville, while Pickens County schools serve local families. With Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell, and the Blue Ridge foothills nearby, the town makes a great home base for anyone who loves spending time outdoors.
