About North Arlington
North Arlington is a Bergen County borough at New Jersey's urban edge, bordering Lyndhurst, Belleville, and Kearny. It has some surprisingly specific local history: copper was mined here at the Schuyler Copper Mine, one of the first true copper mines in North America, and the first steam engine in North America was assembled in North Arlington in 1755. The borough is also known for Holy Cross Cemetery, a massive 208-acre cemetery, and Riverside County Park, which runs along River Road between Lyndhurst and North Arlington.
