About Norwood

Norwood is a small Bergen County borough in northeastern New Jersey, near the Hudson River side of the county. The area that became Norwood was settled around 1686 by families mostly from the Dutch Republic, giving it a much older history than its suburban appearance suggests. It later formed part of Harrington Township west of the Hackensack River. Today Norwood is residential, leafy, and affluent, with local schools, parks, and access to New York-area jobs. It feels residential despite sitting in one of the country's densest regions.
