Oak Brook, IL

Oak Brook is an affluent DuPage County village west of Chicago, originally known as Fullersburg after early settler Ben Fuller. It is residential in parts, but it also has a major corporate and commercial presence, with office campuses, shopping, and employers that bring people in from across the region. The Lizzadro Museum adds a distinctive cultural note, while local schools such as Brook Forest Elementary and Butler Junior High serve the village. Oak Brook feels less like a typical suburb and more like a business hub with residential neighborhoods around it.
