Ocean Breeze, FL

Ocean Breeze is a Martin County town on the Indian River, just northeast of Stuart and bordered on its other sides by Jensen Beach. Harry Hoke established the community in 1938, and in 1960, 142 property owners voted to turn the Ocean Breeze Trailer Park into the Town of Ocean Breeze Park. The name shortened to Ocean Breeze in 2013. The town's eastern edge is all river, while its origin is tied to one park and one family. Ocean Breeze is a small Florida place with a very literal shoreline and a clear incorporation story.
