Odessa, DE

Set along the Appoquinimink Creek in southern New Castle County, Odessa is a quiet, walkable town with deep historic roots. The community got its start in the 1700s as a busy river port for local grain farmers, and much of that early architectural charm is still visible today. A stroll down Main Street takes you past classic brick homes, leafy front yards, and well-kept historic buildings maintained by the Historic Odessa Foundation.

Odessa sits within the highly rated Appoquinimink School District, and neighboring Middletown is just a short drive up the road for grocery runs, dining, and shopping. Commuters also appreciate the quick access to Route 1 and Route 13, making it easy to head north toward Wilmington or south toward Dover and the Delaware beaches.
