Omaha, TX

Omaha got its name in the 1880s when early settlers decided to settle a naming debate by drawing their Alabama hometowns from a hat. Omaha won the draw, and the community soon grew around the local railroad stop and U.S. Highway 67. Set in the quiet pine country of Northeast Texas, about ten miles north of Daingerfield, the town quickly established the friendly, laid-back rhythm it carries today.

Today, Omaha offers peaceful country living with straightforward drives to regional hubs like Mount Pleasant. It serves as the home base for the Paul Pewitt school district, bringing local families together for sports and community events throughout the year.
