On Top of the World, FL

On Top of the World is a census-designated place in southwestern Marion County, about 11 miles southwest of Ocala. It is best known as a large active-adult retirement community rather than a conventional town, with golf courses, clubs, recreation centers, and neighborhoods organized around residents' daily routines. Its location puts it close to Ocala's services while still feeling self-contained.
