Oneida is a town in Scott County, Tennessee, situated near the Cumberland Plateau. Named in the nineteenth century for the New York hometown of its developing railroad executives and serving as a gateway to the Big South Fork National Area, the community of approximately 3,819 is served by the Oneida Special School District locally.
