Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Halifax River to the west, and the Ormond Beach city limits to the south, the community of approximately 7,100 preserves shell middens left by the indigenous Timucuan people. Residents enjoy easy access to the adjacent Tomoka State Park and local beach parks.
