Orovada, NV

Located about 43 miles north of Winnemucca along U.S. 95, Orovada is a tiny, peaceful ranching and farming community tucked into Nevada’s high desert. With roughly a hundred residents scattered across the valley, life here is defined by wide-open spaces, big mountain views, and quiet nights. The highway is the valley's main spine, connecting the area north to Oregon and south to Winnemucca, where locals make the 45-minute trip for groceries, errands, and healthcare.

Orovada School currently educates students in kindergarten through eighth grade, and a brand-new K-8 facility is underway on Key Road to serve the valley for years to come.
