Pampa, TX

Located out on the plains of the Texas Panhandle, Pampa offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere with plenty of wide-open space. Home to around 17,000 residents, it serves as the main hub for Gray County, shaped by a long history of ranching, the railroad, and early oil discoveries. The downtown area has plenty of historic character, including the White Deer Land Company Museum and ties to folk music legend Woody Guthrie, giving the community an authentic, grounded feel.

Families have access to a dedicated local school system along with college courses right in town at Clarendon College's Pampa Center. Community traditions like the annual Top O' Texas Rodeo bring neighbors together each summer, while local parks and recreation spots keep daily life active. When you need a trip to a larger metro area, Amarillo is an easy hour-long drive southwest along Highway 60.
