Parker is a town and the county seat of La Paz County, Arizona, situated in the Parker Valley along the Colorado River. Founded in 1908, the town was named in honor of Ely Parker, who served as the first Native American commissioner for the United States government. Located south of the Headgate Rock Dam and Moovalya Lake, the town functions as a regional administrative and recreational hub along the river border.
