Parker, WA

Parker is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in central Yakima County, Washington, United States. The 2020 census counted 158 residents. Parker is located on U.S. Route 97 between the cities of Union Gap and Wapato on the Yakama Indian Reservation. The first plat for Parker was filed January 6, 1909. The short version is that Parker carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now. That is the local read on Parker: its past remains attached to the places people use now. Parker was originally settled by William Parker in 1864, and was named for him by the Northern Pacific Railway in 1890.
