Parkville is a small Missouri River city northwest of Kansas City, known for its historic downtown, antique shops, art galleries, and riverfront setting. A post office named for settler George S. Park was established in 1841, and the town still carries that older river-town scale. Park University sits above the community, while English Landing Park and Platte Landing Park give Parkville some of the Kansas City area's best everyday riverfront access.
