Downtown Parkville sits right along the Missouri River, where the brick Main Street leads directly into English Landing and Platte Landing parks. Park University overlooks downtown from the hillside, anchored by the stone towers of Mackay Hall. In an interesting twist, parts of the campus and several local businesses operate underground inside the bluff's massive limestone caves. When you need to run daily errands, newer commercial centers like Parkville Commons and Creekside provide grocery stores, medical offices, and everyday retail just minutes away. The mix of riverside scenery, historic charm, and modern convenience makes the town an appealing spot for newcomers.
