Sitting along U.S. 395 at the southern tip of Inyo County, Pearsonville is a tiny desert community best known as the Hubcap Capital of the World. It originally grew around Lucy Pearson's famous roadside collection of over 80,000 hubcaps and salvage yards. Today, daily life here is quiet and sparse, centered on a handful of rural homes, a gas station, and auto repair shops serving travelers making their way through the eastern desert.
