Peridot is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Gila and Graham counties, Arizona. Situated within the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation, the community of about one thousand residents is named after the green peridot gemstone found in nearby volcanic basalt flows. The settlement sits along the San Carlos River and features the Peridot-Our Savior's Lutheran School, a private Christian school serving local families.
