Perkasie is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, located north of Philadelphia. The town's name derives from a Lenape phrase meaning one who goes to the place to crack nuts. With a population of approximately 9,200, Perkasie was historically an industrial center known for silk mills, brickyards, and a factory that produced hand-stitched major league baseballs for Spalding between 1920 and 1950. State Routes 152 and 563 run through the borough, linking it to the broader region.
