Petal, MS

Petal is a city in Forrest County, Mississippi, situated along the Leaf River adjacent to Hattiesburg. Originally established with a post office in 1903, the community of approximately 11,294 expanded significantly after annexing several surrounding settlements in 2002. Public education for local students is administered by the Petal School District.
