Petersburg is a small borough of about 400 people, located where Shaver Creek flows into the Juniata River in northern Huntingdon County. It has a quiet, rural feel with modest historic homes and wooded hillsides all around. Route 305 runs straight through town, keeping travel straightforward. You are just a short drive from neighboring Alexandria and about fifteen minutes from Huntingdon, where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, medical services, and Juniata College.

American Legion Petersburg PA

The town got its start as a busy hub for canal boats and the Pennsylvania Railroad, but today it is mostly a peaceful bedroom community.
