About Petoskey

Petoskey is the county seat and largest city of Emmet County, Michigan, situated on the southern shore of Little Traverse Bay at the mouth of the Bear River. First settled when Odawa Chief Ignatius Petosega sold lands to incoming pioneers, the community of approximately 5,856 is home to North Central Michigan College. Public education is administered by the Petoskey Public Schools district.
