About Philomath

Philomath is a city in Benton County, Oregon, part of the Corvallis metropolitan area. Named after Philomath College, a United Brethren institution founded in 1867, the community of approximately 5,600 today hosts several sawmills, including Interfor, and is home to Marys River Park, the city's largest park, with twenty-eight acres along the Marys River. Public education is administered by the Philomath School District.
