Piedmont, SC

Piedmont is a quiet community set along the Saluda River in Upstate South Carolina, about twelve miles south of downtown Greenville. Home to roughly 5,500 residents, it combines a relaxed rural feel with roots as an old textile mill town. The river and its historic dam still sit at the heart of the area, and having Interstate 85 just a couple of miles away keeps commutes straightforward. Because Piedmont sits right across the Anderson and Greenville county borders, local services and utilities depend on which side of the line you live on.

School options also follow the county boundary, sending students to either Anderson School District One or Greenville County Schools. For time outdoors, the Piedmont Riverfront Park offers great spots for kayaking, fishing, and walking along the Saluda. While the community itself is largely residential, the quick drive into Greenville or Anderson puts major employers, hospitals, universities, and downtown dining within easy reach.
