Piru is an unincorporated historic town and census-designated place in the Santa Clara River Valley of eastern Ventura County, California. Originally inhabited by the Tataviam and developed in the late nineteenth century by David Cook, the community of approximately 2,185 is served by the Fillmore Unified School District for public primary and secondary education.
