Pixley, CA

Pixley is a small, quiet community in California’s Central Valley, sitting right along Highway 99 about 25 miles south of Visalia. Home to around 4,000 residents, the town originally grew around the railroad in the late 1800s as a shipping hub for local harvests. Today, it remains deeply tied to agriculture, with local neighborhoods bordered by dairy farms, vineyards, and sprawling crop fields.

For families considering a move, younger children attend schools in the Pixley Union School District, while high schoolers generally head north to the Tulare Joint Union High School District. Highway 99 runs straight through town, making it easy to commute to larger retail and employment hubs like Visalia, Tulare, or Delano. As with most of the valley, living here means enjoying plenty of sunshine, along with preparing for very hot summers and dense winter Tule fog during the morning commute.
