Pleasant Prairie, WI

Pleasant Prairie is a Kenosha County village on Wisconsin's Lake Michigan shoreline, near the Illinois border. Its setting combines lakefront geography, suburban growth, and pockets of natural land that support a wide range of plants and wildlife. The area also has some of the earliest traces of Native American life found in Wisconsin, including sites near present-day State Highways 32 and 165. Today Pleasant Prairie functions as a southeastern Wisconsin community with room for homes, business parks, recreation, and lake-influenced open space.
