About Pleasanton

Pleasanton is a city in Atascosa County, Texas, located thirty-five miles south of downtown San Antonio as part of the San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area. Established in 1858 at the mouth of Bonita Creek, the city of approximately 11,011 hosts the annual Cowboy Homecoming Festival each October to celebrate local ranching heritage. Public education is administered by the Pleasanton Independent School District.
