Plymouth, MA

Plymouth is the county seat of Plymouth County and one of the most symbolically loaded towns in New England. Samuel de Champlain reached Plymouth Harbor in 1605, and the Pilgrim story later made the town nationally famous. But Plymouth is also a working South Shore community, once home to the massive Plymouth Cordage Company and now anchored by neighborhoods, beaches, schools, and regional services. Plymouth feels historic but lived-in, with tourism, ocean air, cranberry country, and ordinary town life constantly overlapping.
