Plymouth is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Susquehanna River four miles west of Wilkes-Barre. Settled in 1769 by Connecticut pioneers and historically serving as a coal-mining hub during the Pennamite-Yankee Wars era, the residential community of approximately 5,770 is served by the Wyoming Valley West School District locally today.
