Point Place, LA

Point Place is a small unincorporated community and census-designated place in Natchitoches Parish, in the wooded and water-rich country of central Louisiana. The place was first recognized as a CDP in 2010, so its formal identity is relatively recent even though the surrounding parish has much older layers: Natchitoches Caddo homeland, French and Spanish colonial routes, Cane River, pine forests, and parish roads that run between scattered communities. Point Place belongs to that parish network, not to a separate incorporated town.
