Popponesset, MA

Tucked along the southern shore of Mashpee, Popponesset is a classic, laid-back Cape Cod beach neighborhood. Water shapes daily life here, with Nantucket Sound to the south and the calm channels of Popponesset Bay and Creek wrapping around the inland side. Much of the area's charm comes from its quiet coastal setting, weathered cottages, and the Spit, a scenic sandy barrier where residents spend sunny afternoons boating, paddleboarding, and walking along the shore.
