Port Angeles, WA

Port Angeles is the county seat of Clallam County and one of the main cities on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Its harbor was entered in 1791 by Spanish explorer Francisco de Eliza, who gave it a long Spanish name meaning port of Our Lady of the Angels. Today the city is a gateway to Olympic National Park, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and ferry connections to Victoria, British Columbia. Peninsula College adds an educational presence, while the waterfront and mountains give Port Angeles a strong Northwest edge-of-the-continent feel.
