Access to nature is woven directly into city living. Just minutes west of downtown, Forest Park covers more than 5,000 acres of lush Pacific Northwest woods, offering over 80 miles of trails reachable from dozens of neighborhood trailheads. On the Eastside, Mount Tabor Park sits atop an extinct volcano, complete with shaded walking paths, historic open reservoirs, and sweeping views of the city skyline. It is the kind of spot where you can catch a quiet sunset picnic, take the dog for a walk, or join the crowds for the annual Adult Soapbox Derby.
