Prairie Grove is a Washington County city in Northwest Arkansas, best known for Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. The Battle of Prairie Grove was fought here during the Civil War, and the battlefield still gives the town a strong historical center of gravity. The annual Clothesline Fair, held since 1951, adds a more local and celebratory layer with artists and craftspeople.
