About Preston

Preston is a city and the county seat of Franklin County, Idaho, located within the Logan metropolitan area. Situated near the site of the historic 1863 Bear River Massacre, the community of approximately 5,928 was historically settled by members of the LDS Church and later gained pop-culture fame as the filming site of Napoleon Dynamite. Public education is served by Preston Joint School District 201.
