Providence, KY

Originally founded as a small trading post known as Savageville before taking its name in the 1820s, Providence is a quiet Webster County community shaped by its western Kentucky roots. That heritage remains a strong point of local pride, celebrated each year at the annual Coal Festival and honored at the downtown miners memorial. Along the main streets, rows of classic brick storefronts anchor the historic district, giving the center of town a relaxed, old-school character.
