Purcell, OK

Purcell sits on the bluffs above the Canadian River, about fifteen miles south of Norman and roughly thirty-five minutes from downtown Oklahoma City along Interstate 35. Home to around 6,700 people, the McClain County seat is often called the "Quarter Horse Capital of the World" thanks to the many ranches and equestrian facilities spread across the surrounding rolling hills. The town grew around the Santa Fe railroad in the late 1800s, giving it a charming historic downtown with brick storefronts and a prominent hillside courthouse.
