Quinby, SC

Quinby is an incorporated town in eastern Florence County, bordered by the city of Florence on the south and west and by Black Creek to the north. The creek is a tributary of the Pee Dee River, so the town's map has a Lowcountry-meets-Pee-Dee edge: wooded watercourses and rural land close to the commercial and institutional pull of Florence. Quinby became a town in 1967 and is part of the Florence metropolitan area.

The local pitch is proximity. Town Hall and its council serve a small municipality, while Florence supplies shopping, health care, employment, and larger cultural options a short drive away.
