Rainier is a city in Thurston County, Washington, established as a railroad stop in the 1870s and historic as a prominent logging hub. Officially incorporated in 1947 and featuring the recreational grounds of Wilkowski Park and the Tenino Trail, the community of approximately 2,455 is served by the Rainier School District for public education for local students.
