About Rainsville

Rainsville is a city in DeKalb County, Alabama, situated on top of Sand Mountain, a southern extension of the Cumberland Plateau. Bordered by Sylvania and Sylvan Lake, the community was incorporated in 1956. Today the city serves as the administrative hub for the DeKalb County School System offices and is home to Plainview High School. Rainsville combines its agricultural roots with active residential growth and civic development.
