About Randalia
Randalia took shape when the railroad reached central Fayette County in 1873. The Randall brothers surveyed and platted the town in 1874, and its first two-story building combined a store with living quarters before also serving as the post office. In the 1870s, the station shipped wheat, oats, eggs, pork, and live hogs from the surrounding farms. The old town plan now sits beside a branch of Coulee Creek that drains toward the Volga River, with rural roads leading through Center Township. Area students are connected to West Central Community School District, whose current boundary includes Randalia and neighboring farms.
