About Raoul
Raoul is a Habersham County census-designated place in northeast Georgia, in the southwest corner of the county near the Banks County line. U.S. 23 follows its northwest edge, while Georgia 13 runs along the county boundary. The community sits between Alto and the Cornelia-Gainesville corridor, in a county shaped by foothill farms, orchards, water, and the history of the Cherokee cessions. The Lee Arrendale State Prison, a Georgia Department of Corrections facility, is located in Raoul and is one of the place's most identifiable institutions. Raoul's local map is made from county roads, the state facility, and the foothill geography around the Habersham-Banks line.
