About Red Bank

Red Bank is a city in Hamilton County, Tennessee, situated at the base of the Cumberland Plateau. Uniquely developed as an enclave, the municipality is entirely surrounded by the city of Chattanooga. Originally named Pleasant Hill when established in the nineteenth century, the community of approximately 12,000 was renamed Red Bank in 1881. The town operates its own local school campuses, including Red Bank High School, and is located just five miles north of Chattanooga's downtown.
