Reedsville, PA

Reedsville is a quiet small town in central Pennsylvania, tucked right at the northern entrance to the Kishacoquillas Valley, known locally as Big Valley. Kish Creek winds right through town against the backdrop of Jacks Mountain, giving the area plenty of classic mountain scenery. Sitting directly along Route 322, it makes a convenient base for commuters, located just a few minutes north of Lewistown and about a half-hour drive from State College. It originally grew around William Brown's 18th-century mills, and you can still feel that relaxed, historic charm along its older streets.

Today, day-to-day life here moves at a peaceful pace surrounded by working family farms and the valley's Amish and Mennonite communities. Local students attend Mifflin County schools, and residents can easily run errands in town or head into nearby Lewistown for larger stores and healthcare services. Between neighborhood favorites like the local creamery, scenic valley backroads, and quick highway access to Penn State events, Reedsville provides a welcoming, rural home base with larger amenities always within easy reach.
