Rennert, NC

Rennert is a tiny, quiet town in Robeson County where life moves at a relaxed, rural pace. It started out in the 1800s as a settlement called Alpin's Grove before renaming itself after a hotel when the railroad rolled through. With around 300 residents and strong Lumbee roots, it is the kind of tight-knit Southern community where neighbors know one another and wide-open farmland is always just down the road.
