Rensselaer, NY

Rensselaer is a city on the eastern bank of the Hudson River in Rensselaer County, New York, situated directly opposite Albany. Settled by the Dutch in the seventeenth century, the city of approximately 9,287 is home to the busy Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak station. Public education for local students is served by the Rensselaer City School District.
