Richgrove, CA

Richgrove is a Tulare County census-designated place near the Kern County line, about seven miles from Delano and Highway 99. The 2020 census counted 2,358 residents in less than half a square mile. The surrounding landscape is agricultural, with table grapes, pistachios, oranges, and almonds among the area's main crops. That working landscape is part of the school district's setting: Richgrove Elementary describes its campus against an agricultural backdrop, serves grades TK–8, and currently enrolls nearly 500 students. Richgrove Community Services District handles water, sewer, and park services, while Richgrove School District supplies the one school campus that structures much of the local routine.
