Rochester, KY

Rochester is a small, easygoing community in western Butler County, set right where the Green River and the Mud River come together. Settled in the early nineteenth century and incorporated in 1839, the town first made its mark as a steamboat landing and trade hub. It has held onto that quiet, neighborly feel over the years, offering a relaxed pace of life surrounded by rolling farmland and scenic riverbanks.

The water remains the centerpiece of everyday life in Rochester. Locals head to the riverfront park and the historic grounds around Lock and Dam No. 3 to launch boats, fish for bass and catfish, or picnic by the water.
