Rock Creek Park, CO

Rock Creek Park is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in El Paso County, Colorado, associated with the Colorado Springs metropolitan area. Colorado State Highway 115 passes along its edge south of Cheyenne Mountain State Park, giving this tiny place a clear line through the foothills. The Colorado Springs post office serves the area, while Fountain School District 8 provides the school connection. The 2020 census counted 68 people in the CDP, so its footprint is more a named pocket of county landscape than a conventional town center.

The name also carries a pair of unusual local landmarks. The May Natural History Museum and the May Museum of Space Exploration are connected with Rock Creek Park, bringing collections of insects, fossils, and space memorabilia into the place's story.
