Rocky Point, OK

Rocky Point is a Wagoner County census-designated place of 946 residents in the 2020 census, on the upper end of Fort Gibson Lake where Flat Rock Creek meets the main channel. The community lies in northeastern Oklahoma's lake country, with steep rocky bluffs on the eastern side of the park and timbered ground to the west. The lake was formed when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers impounded the Grand River, turning the meeting of the creek and bay into a major recreation point.

Rocky Point Campground is a year-round Corps facility with campsites, a group shelter, swim beach, boat ramps, courtesy dock, showers, and water. Flat Rock Bay opens east toward the main lake, while Sequoyah State Park sits across the broader water-and-forest landscape. Boating, swimming, fishing, and seasonal hunting organize the nearby activity, and Rocky Point Store sits outside the park gates. There is no dense town center to define the CDP; the campground, bay, creek, roads, and timbered shoreline make the place legible. Rocky Point is a lakeside community whose map is built around water access.
